Objective: Prodo identified SMS and MMS (Multi-media messaging) as a huge growth area for the future, and something their own clients would soon be asking for. With this in mind, Prodo set out to find a suitable technical partner to facilitate marketing broadcasts on behalf of their clients.

Redstar solution: We provided Prodo with a branded web interface to our mobile messaging platform. From here, Prodo are able to easily co-ordinate and distribute text or mms messages to their target audience at any time without having to rely on a third party involvement. Prodo also now show clients how to SMS enable their website – firing off “Thanks for visiting our website” messages or confirmation of information, quotes or booking references sent directly to the visitor’s mobile phone for future reference.  

Benefits to the business: By their own admission, Prodo foresee that a significant share of their revenue in the near future will be generated from mobile messaging. As older mobile phones are replaced by the latest generation of more sophisticated handsets, and network operators roll-out 3G technology (mobile broadband), the possibilities for mobile marketing campaigns become limitless.

Prodo realise that sending video clips, animation and sound to a customer via their mobile phone will become one of the quickest and most cost effective ways of reaching a target audience.
